More About Humpback Whales
Humpback Whales, known for their massive size and incredible sounds, are found in every ocean in the world. They also have one of the longest migrations of any animal. Humpback Whales live on average 80 to 90 years, giving birth every two to three years. Their diets depend on where they live, with Southern-Hemisphere whales eating mostly krill, and Northern-Hemispere whales eating a wider variety. Today, many people go whale watching to see these amazing creatures.
Appearance
Humpback Whales are mostly black, with a white underbelly. They have long pectoral fins, which are fins located on either side of the whale’s head.
Habitat and Migration
Song
